Track Of The Day: Attica Rage

The band were formed in Glasgow during 2003 by Jonny Parr (vocals/guitar), Big C (bass/vocals) and Richie Rage (drums). The trio released an EP titled In Concert With The Mirror in 2005, before guitarist Stephen Bell join two years later to complete the current line-up.

In 2008, Attica Rage released self-financed album Ruin Nation on their own label Vanduara Records. Since then the band have toured with the likes of Saxon, Armored Saint, Diamond Head. They’ve also played at Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfestand the Download Festival.

With a style that mixes classic rock grooves with blistering metal, the band have now signed to Rocksector Records, releasing new album Road Dog in April of this year.

The band will be playing on the Metal Hammer Stage at High Voltage on Saturday, July 23.
