Thunder’s Farewell Tour Support Acts Announced

‘20 Years & Out’ farewell tour support acts announced – Thunder have chosen four bands to be their special guests on their upcoming ‘retirement tour’ dates. Click here to find out who’s supporting Thunder! Get your tickets for the last opportunity to see Thunder!

Thunder have issued this statement: ”We’ve played loads of fantastic shows over the last 20 years, but we want all the shows between now and when we go to be the best we’ve ever done. We really hope you’ll want to be there to help us to do that. And thanks for everything.”

Support bands for the shows are as follows:

Logan (Glasgow & Manchester)

Airrace (Sheffield & Cambridge) – recently reformed

The Quireboys (Newcastle & Nottingham)

The Electric Boys (Wolverhampton & London) – recently re-formed

All the bands are friends of the band or have worked with Thunder in the past.

The dates are as follows:

Wed, 1st July Glasgow O2 Academy

Fri, 3rd July Manchester Academy (Sold Out)

Sat, 4th July Sheffield City Hall

Sun, 5th July Cambridge Corn Exchange

Tues, 7th July Newcastle City Hall

Wed, 8th July Nottingham Rock City

Fri, 10th July Wolverhampton Civic Hal

Sat, 11th July London Hammersmith Apollo

I’m going to the Glasgow, Wolverhampton & London gigs. It’s a pity that the Quireboys aren’t playing any of those dates, but it doesn’t really matter as it’s all about Thunder!

Not fussed about Logan from what I’ve heard so far but I remain to be impressed. To be honest I’d rather Thunder did two 1 1/2 hour sets including the whole of Backstreet Symphony in one loud helping, tasty….
