Them Crooked Vultures Confirm European Show
…The only trouble is, it’s in Amsterdam, not Amersham.
Them Crooked Vultures – the new supergroup featuring John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) – have confirmed a show at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, Holland this Wednesday, August 19.
Melkveg apparently means ‘Milky Way’ in English. The show marks the band’s European live debut after their debut gig in Chicago on August 9.
The Amsterdam venue states in somewhat baffling Dutch fashion: ‘Presale starts on Tuesday, August 18 at 18:00. Tickets are only available at the checkout at a maximum of one card per person. When purchasing an access card for identification may be required. Access to the show with only one intact wrist band around. Wristbands are strictly personal and not transferable. No still cameras and recording devices allowed. The show is open to all ages.’

It is easy to understand: -
1. Tickets are only available at the venue cash desk (checkout).
2. An identification document may be requested when buying a ticket.
3. Only one ticket (wristband) is available per purchaser, the wristband is for the purchaser only and the wristband must not be damaged upon entry.
Simples.
Aint that how we used to do it back in the day?
