Winery Dogs to release live recording
The Winery Dogs – Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan and Richie Kotzen – will include a live recording in a new special edition of their acclaimed debut album.
The supergroup released their self-titled record last year and followed it up with four singles plus tour dates.
The result of one of those shows will appear as Unleashed In Japan in the special edition, due for release in April via Loud And Proud. It will also be available as a separate digital release.
Also on offer is Dog Treats: The Winery Dogs Deluxe Special Edition, which includes a DVD of the band’s four promo videos, interviews, demo, and a studio diary by drummer Portnoy.
He last year described the band as “a classic rock kind of power trio” and added: “If you picture Zeppelin, Cream, Grand Funk – if you take that sound of the early 70s then you sprinkle it with Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Black Crowes or Lenny Kravitz, it’s in that vein.”
The Winery Dogs play three shows in the US in March.
