There are unconfirmed reports that The Who have been lined up to perform during the halftime show at Superbowl XLIV.
The biggest sporting event in the American calendar, Super Bowl is the climax to the NFL season. In the past few years, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have all performed, before a TV audience that’s regularly around the 100 million mark in the States alone. It appears The Who will be added to the list of legends. Well, it beats getting on the bill at Tooting & Mitcham FC!
Super Bowl XLIV happens in Miami, Florida on February 7.
