The New Issue Of Classic Rock Is Out Today!
Don’t dare miss the March edition of Classic Rock – with Guns N’ Roses on the cover!
It’s our fourth annual ‘Lost’ themed issue – so as well as the usual goodies expect a misbegotten selection of articles on bands from the dustblown vaults of obscurity!
There’s also a FREE ‘Lost’ CD featuring 15 tracks from the likes of UFO, Jerusalem, 13th Floor Elevators, Rogue Male, Luv Machine and more – including Thin Lizzy’s Massacre, a ‘Lost’ live version from 1977!
Elsewhere inside issue No.129 of Classic Rock:
GUNS N’ ROSES: Izzy Stradlin says Alan Niven was “the sixth silent member of GN’R”. The band’s former manager speaks out.
THIN LIZZY: The live and really dangerous days. Scott Gorham and Brian Downey look back at Lizzy in their 1970s prime.
DEF LEPPARD: Life with the late Steve Clark, by the Leppard guitarist’s former girlfriend.
GREEN RIVER: They spawned Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam… but they were a band out of their time.
STRAY DOG: They influenced Queen, Van Halen, Steve Vai and were poised to be the next big power trio. So what went wrong?
BARNEY BUBBLES: He developed light shows for Hawkwind, and designed sleeves for Ian Dury, Elvis Costello, The Adverts and other iconic 80s new-wavers.
ZAKK WYLDE: Lewd tales from the life and times of the Black Label Society mainman and Ozzy’s guitarist.
MARILLION: The lost-loves story behind their biggest hit single, Kayleigh.
CHRIS CORNELL: Is his latest album evidence that the former Soundgarden frontman has turned his back on rock?
THE CLASH: It’s June 1981. The Clash play a fortnight-long residency in New York instead of touring the US. Mick Farren kept control…
All this and more in the latest issue of Classic Rock, on sale now!

Not bloody Guns ‘n’ Roses on the cover AGAIN!
If it’s not them it’s Kiss….
Don’t give me the ”It’s what sells copy” line, it won’t wash. Try featuring some TRUE classic rock bands instead. You may be surprised by the increase in sales.
Babe Ruth, Fruupp, Saraya, Taste, Groundhogs, ALL classic rock but none of which have had any decent coverage in your magazine….
Ok, the man in a skirt has just released a CD that took 15 years to complete…
Big deal.
If he gave a fuck it would have been finished by the original band 14 years ago.
Give it a rest. I don’t want to see prats like ‘Rose’ and Kiss on the cover every couple of months.
Or are you ‘remastering’ yourselves?….
Tezza
Yes they are obscure, but isn’t that what
Guns on the cover AGAIN??
After and incredible delayed cover with CLASSIC ROCK LEGEND Deep Purple, guess we’re back to normal then. Oh, and another article on Thin Lizzy? Geez, didn’t see that one coming at all…
At least the CD sounds good.
First off I completely love Classic Rock. Over the last 4 years I ‘ve read every issue cover to cover as the mag got better and better. I live in the US and this mag blows Rolling Stone and Spin out of the water. But holy smokes G’n'R on the cover again? We all know the story.Better luck next month.
pity we have to look at axel`s face `till next month but it`s whats inside the cover that matters. i`m off out to buy mine .rock on!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, I could care less what’s on your cover as long as the picture refers to what your magazine is all about, “Classic Rock”! What is great about this issue is a Stray Dog article. I can’t wait to read it. They were a great band!!! Since I live in the U.S. it will be a while before we get it here. Like someone else mentioned we get the awful, worthless Rolling Stone and Spin here. Anyway keep up the great work! What a great magazine!
Thanks for including us in the issue. It will make it rock with or without Axl.
Dege & Santeria
