Don’t dare miss the latest edition of Classic Rock with The Doors on the cover.

Our awe-inspiring story tells you for the first time how Doors frontman Jim Morrison really died – by the fireman who pulled his body from the bath, the nightclub manager who knows how it got there, and the war photographer who witnessed the whole thing!

If you think you know everything about The Doors… well, our astonishing tale will make you think again.

Also in the issue: a FREE Bachman & Turner mini album containing four brand new songs and four cast-iron classics, including You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet!

Here’s a taster of what you can find inside Classic Rock No.148, cover dated August 2010:

The Doors – With L.A. Woman The Doors snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and recorded their greatest album – and then Jim went to Paris. Supported by new interviews and uncovering new evidence, we trace the last steps taken by Morrison before he was found dead in the bath, including interviews with the people who claim to have put him there.

Rush – With a new movie about to be released and the band kicking off another tour, we talk to the veteran proggers about taking it to the next stage in more ways than one.

Alejandro Escovedo – His fans include Springsteen, Ian Hunter and George W Bush. Meet the songwriter’s songwriter you’ve never heard of.

John Lydon – The former Sex Pistol and PiL leader who now advertises butter on TV reveals the private man behind the public image.

Stevie Ray Vaughan – Twenty years after his tragic death, the man who could have been the greatest blues guitarist of them all is being rediscovered by a new generation of blues lovers.

50 Greatest Blues Rock Albums – Mayall, Hendrix, BB King, Stevie Ray, Black Crowes, Free, ZZ Top, Buddy Guy… With help from some fast-rising new blues-rockers, we look at the jewels in the genre.

The Big Four – Backstage at Sonisphere Poland with Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

Guns N’ Roses – Exclusive report from the Sweden Rock festival.

Kris Kristofferson – The legendary singer/songwiter on departed friends, survivor heroes, “killer grass” and the Jim Morrison myth.

All this and more in the brand new issue of Classic Rock, on sale now.

What an absolute load of rubbish.

The worst issue yet. Kris Krsistofersen FFS.

This used to be a great magazine but the last two issues (excluding the RJD and Doors articles) have been very poor.

Improve or lose a customer. Been with you since issue 1.

I find it funny how Geoff Barton saw axl sit at the piano to play live and let die, when it is dizzy that plays the piano part. Plus making sly comments on all the pics, grow up..
