Scott,

The ‘Bluesbreakers’ cd is right up my alley (plan to get Joe Bonamassa’s new one as soon as possible)
Unfortunately I lost its slip case, so only know the name of the Joe B one & of my other fav, ‘Belly Of The Blues’. I’ll carry on subscribing as long as the cds are as good as that one.

At the end of the day it’s only a magazine – if you don’t like what’s in the mag cancel the sub or don’t buy it.

Is it too much to ask to have the Zakk Wylde version of ‘In My Time Of Dying’ on a forthcoming cd ?? I know it was already on one but I’ve a whole box of free cds from CR & had to get rid of some. Unfortunately one was the LZ tribute cd. Damn.

I am a Finnish subscriber and I have received my copies one (!) month after the release date in UK. So it was interesting to see that somebody else (reader in Italy & USA) has faced the same problems. Classic Rock publisher blames it on DHL who takes care of the distribution. But the service for subscribers abroad is appalling. I mean I get purchases from Amazon USA within a week. Sending a magazine can't take that long!

Editor In chief... Im not as harsh but I seee where he's coming from. CR has been a bit Dull lately with just bands featuring members over 40. Have you ever actually had a band with members under 40 on your front cover? It's sad to say this but... Kerrang! has more coverage on New old school rock bands than you (see having The Answer on the front cover) and you don't have new bands ever. even when they get sucsessful Like Airbourne! they still only got a single Page feature during there new album release. it's still awesome mag btw :) (and Im 15!!)

Paul: there are several apologies here http://bit.ly/dDfyA1 It's horrible that people haven't received them yet. On the other hand, like any business, we get customer problems all the time. I don't apologise in the mag for every malfunctioning CD or delayed subscriber issue - because it doesn't affect most people.

More people than I would have liked never got their Slash issue on time - but we're not talking about 1000s, and I did take the time to address it.

Agent Robbo: sorry to hear it. I don't really see how we're like Q. I've never seen an issue of Q with features on Marseille, Coheed & Cambria, Caravan, Train,Wilko Johnson, Francis Rossi, Rick Wakeman,Charlie Harper, Meat Loaf, Johnny Winter, Mike Monroe, Tony McPhee, Frankie Miller, Steve Adler, Ratt, and the birth of thrash metal.

And when I look at their reviews section, I don't see lead album reviews on the Scorpions, Asia, Burzum, Thunder, Judas Priest and the Stooges, or live reviews on Skynyrd, Bonamassa, Opeth, Megadeth etc etc.

All of which are in this month's issue.

What matters is how you feel about it, obviously, but I don't see it myself. We still feature Saxon and Marillion - Saxon in particular have (deservedly) done well out of us in the last few years, and I can't think of another mag that's covered Marillion as extensively in the past 10 years.

Well blimey, made a momentous decision today..

I've bought Classic Rock from the very first issue, which leapt out at me and I loved from the start. Unfortunately, its just not the same mag any more, it was originally designed to fulfill the needs of us who's fave bands were hardly covered by the fashionable media, but for the last year or so I've hardly been interested, as its been like reading Q or some shit like that.

Feel like I've lost a limb! really hope I see it on the shelves one day and it'll be the none-trendy Saxon and Marillion loving mag it once was. Used to absolutely LOVE it when it popped through the letter box... sob!

I know we live in hard times but why do people have to be so negative all the time. I was merely stating that in my humble opinion someone from Classic Rock should explain or apologise for what happened regarding the Slash album. I observed the hundreds of posts on this site from disgruntled readers and I can understand why.
Classic Rock spent months going on about what a great deal they were giving people and it went belly up, shit happens but they should have the decency to explain and apologise, if Gordon can do it so can they even if they wriggle out of it also.
For any interested I notice that on itunes the missing track from the Slash CD is now being added to a 'Special Edition' available from May 10th, insult to injury?

Also I said I "may well" have purchased my last copy, it was an attempt merely to suggest to those that need to understand that they are left wanting, don't take everything you see or read so literally.
I agree also that the same old, same olds get more than enough coverage in Classic Rock.
