The New Issue Of Classic Rock Is On Sale Now!

The March edition of Classic Rock hits the stores today with Joe Perry on the cover – and the mag also comes with a FREE copy of the Aero-guitarist’s new album, Have Guitar, Will Travel!

…And if that’s not enough for you, there’s a FREE Bon Scott tribute mag as well.

Here’s a taster of what’s inside the latest – and possibly greatest – issue of Classic Rock:

Aerosmith: “We can’t count on Tyler any more. He’s a fucking burn-out.” Is this the end of the road for the band? In a world exclusive, Classic Rock tails the band over two continents to find out.

Them Crooked Vultures: Flying high with Dave Grohl, John Paul Jones and Josh Homme. Now that’s what you call a supergroup!

New Aussie rock: Down under, rock is back, it’s big and it’s bonza. We meet the bands aiming to be the new wizards of Oz. Stay tuned to the Classic Rock website to get a bunch of FREE downloads from the hottest new Oz bands.

Tee Pee Records: Don’t know much about this respected New York label’s stoner/psyche roster? Here’s your chance to find out. Plus there are more FREE downloads to come from Tee Pee – more details to come on www.classicrockmagazine.com shortly.

Rare Earth: Wrong time, wrong place, wrong colour… They didn’t have an easy ride through the 70s, but boy did they have a ride!

Ginger Baker
: The World’s Greatest Drummer or The World’s Grumpiest Man? Mr B. rates rock’s finest – no feelings spared!

New Blues Explosion: Blues is back, its got a rack of new clothes and it’s looking sexy. We look at some of the young guns conjuring some new tricks with the old dog.

Spencer Davies Group: The story behind their 60s classic Gimme Some Lovin’ – and how “it is extraordinarily similar” to someone else’s song.

Gene Simmons: Celeb stories from the man Bob Dylan calls “Mr Kiss”.

Rage Against The Machine: It’s 1999, 10 years before their recent unlikely Christmas No.1, and one of the 90s’ most influential bands are still determined to fight the good fight and not to do what you tell them.

All this and more in Classic Rock issue No.142, on sale now.

Always great when as a subscriber the shops get the mag before you do….

Special bag also for subscribers, please…

why no more in lebanon?

Very good Issue but I did have one complaint. No interview with Airbourne I mean they have a new album out… Id like to hear from those guys

Love the Ginger Baker piece to bits. He’s a moody, irascible old goat! I’m a big Gary Moore fan, but Baker’s views are hilarious. Well, unless you’re Moore, Bruce, or any other human not called Hendrix or Clapton.

Andrew Mitchell

Another good issue. CR has had a good start to the year.

One complaint though, why no Quireboys live review? Dave Ling saw them so you could have got him to do it

You did the same with Thunder last summer, even though it was their final tour. You’ve not reviewed the DVD from that tour either!

Charlotte The Harlot

Thanks for the Bon Scott poster, first time in 30 years I’ve put a poster on my wall (home office though, not bedroom). He’s the only celebrity who’s death I have cried over, thank God I got to see him live. Cheers, oh, the mag was great too.

FatboyNotSoSlim

It’s not just CR – Total Film is practically sold out in the shops before my subscription arrives.

Cool mag though

Cheers for the nice comments.

Airbourne and (big) Quireboys feature next month.

Stan Stevens

I just stumbled across Classic Rock this week. Looks cool. Good luck Aerosmith. P-nut

This was a killer issue with Joe Perry; they’re comin’ this summer and it’s gonna be one helluva tour! Are you ready to ROCK?!!

G’Day ! Greating from downunder !
I’ve been a big fan of Classic Rock mag. since being converted from Mojo Mag. back in 2005 as Classic Rock was more in tune with my style of music and Mojo became more and more mainstream. But that’s a different story. The reason I’m contacting you is I live in Australia an I receive your mag a month later. That not the problem it’s worth the wait. I’ve got issue 142 an just got the chance to get right into it and found I have received the wrong cd in the Australian issue. Inside is the American cd with the tee pee bands on it. Don’t get me wrong there’s some great stuff there But being a big fan of the Aussie Band, Airbourne etc. I was looking forward having a sample of all the new one.
I’ve searched your site to see if I could download the Aussie cd But no joy. Is there anywhere I can download it from ?
Anyhow ! Keep up the good stuff and I’m Glad to see our Aussie bands doing so well over there. I wish we had a local mag as good as yours here. There’s an Idea publish a mag in Australia dealing with Local Aussie bands ?
