The New Issue Of Classic Rock Is On Sale Now!

Don’t dare miss the October issue of Classic Rock – it’s a special comeback edition, celebrating the riotous returns of some of the biggest names in rock!

Featured artists inside our latest issue include:

Mott The Hoople
This month marks the Hoople’s second, second coming. “If we didn’t do it now, that would be it,” they tell us.

Pearl Jam
“We never really seriously considered giving up,” Eddie Vedder admits to Classic Rock, but it was pretty damn close for a while for the Seattle superstars.

Cheap Trick
“We’ve had highs, we’ve had lows, we’ve made every mistake there is,” says CT’s Rick Nielsen. No mistakes this time though, as the Rockford rockers return with their best album in years.

Lynyrd Skynyrd
They’ve survived a plane crash, multiple surgeries, brushes with the law and have lost two more band members in the past two years. How the hell have Skynyrd managed to come up with such a great album this time round? They tell us how…

Kiss
Sonic Boom boy Paul Stanley ‘fesses up to taking over the band reins from Gene Simmons (and Simmons letting him!) to create their “best album in 30 years, if not our best album period”.

Alice In Chains

In perhaps the most unexpected album comeback of them all, Classic Rock went to Los Angeles to meet a newly rejuvenated Alice In Chains to discuss life after Layne.

PLUS!

The Beatles
Paul, George and Ringo in their own words. Vic Garbarini spent decades trying to interview all The Beatles. Here we present a selection of his interviews, including his Grammy-nominated chat with McCartney.

Jet
They only wrote Are You Gonna Be My Girl to get girls coming to their gigs. And, strewth, it only bloody worked!

The Black Crowes
In this month’s Q&A, frontman Chris Robinson looks back and forward, but says what really matters is the ‘now’.

Bill Wyman
The former Stone on how Brian Jones nicked his girls, and leaving the band that Keef said members only left “in a box”.

Free CD
Featuring Alice In Chains, The Wildhearts, Mott The Hoople, Cheap Trick, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Porcupine Tree, Black Crowes…

…All this and more in Classic Rock issue 137, on sale now!

James Mitchell

The Beatles … *hangs head in despair*

If you are continuing to morph into Q, is there any chance of getting an off-shoot magazine on Hard Rock & Metal like you have done for Prog?

blackfoot_strikes

well guys the beatles are back in style this month!!

remasters and all that

remasters actually sound great too

pete beeley

i would rather read about the beatles than crap like oasis.you could put the beatles in your mag every month if you wanted, along with all the other classic rock/metal bands.keep up the good work.

Andrew Mitchell

What was Barton on when he reviewed the Rainbow anthology?

A great issue. Geoff Barton’s Rainbow review should get some response. Mr Barton is as much a legend as any rock star, but this is sheer revisionism! It was Dio’s LIVE performances that assured his place in every Rainbow supporter’s heart. He breathed new life into Mistreated, and there are few dragons in that little number. It’s good to see JLT given some credit, though.

As for Mott the Hoople – thanks, that was a great read.

Elliott

The Beatles????

The magazine is called classic ROCK!!!!
I wanna hear about bands that ROCK!!!

Tom Burgess

First it was the Pretenders (what ..??) Now the beatles (urh) black crows (bummer) What happened to ‘67,68, 69 and 70, 71 Classic Rock – some many stories, so many personalities – Am I the only one who is firmly stuck in a time warp and happy about it – Maybe its just me but I don’t see much ‘Classic Rock’ in the up coming issue.

Charlotte The Harlot

Another Lynyrd Skynyrd vs The Grim Reaper feature? I don’t care how desperate you are as a musician, if Gary Rossington were to phone you regading an “unexpected vacancy” …

Stevo the Greebo

I rather read reviews for the Beatles than the bloody Specials which CR did last year. Personally, I was affronted at the time. I think this months issue is good for the most part. Some of you people are just never happy.

Is it me or is the Linkin Park revue missing from the Sonisphere revue…….

Caesar Glebbeek

Could you tell me in which issue this appeared (sometime mid 2009?):

Ever Meet Hendrix
Interview with Bill Wyman

Thanks!
