The New Classic Rock Goes On Sale Today!
It’s Happy New Year - or Happy Old Year – as the latest edition of Classic Rock celebrates a pivotal 12 months in rock history: 1980! Come inside to find out more.
The new issue of Classic Rock tracks back 30 years to 1980, the year that brought you AC/DC’s Back In Black – and a whole lot more besides.
On a downbeat note, ‘80 sadly marked the deaths of Bon Scott, and the Johns Bonham and Lennon.
But there was also one heck of a lot to celebrate, as the brand new Classic Rock proves.
* Saxon released not one but two all-time classic albums: Wheels Of Steel and Strong Arm Of The Law.
* Other groundbreaking records (as you can see from the pix on our cover below) included Iron Maiden’s self-titled debut, Motorhead’s Ace Of Spades and Judas Priest’s British Steel.
* Plus there was the small matter of the first ever Castle Donington Monsters Of Rock festival, headlined by Rainbow, to contend with.
* So join us for a mayhemic meander down memory lane, as we cheer everything that made 1980 a year to remember – and never, ever to forget.
But fear not – it ain’t entirely a nostalgia trip. We also celebrate the arrival of 2010 with a FREE 15-track CD featuring some of the hottest hopes for the year.
Plus there’s a second sensational FREE gift: a wall-sprawling poster of the greatest guitars ever, with a foreword from none other than Sir Jimmy Of Page.
All this and more in the new Classic Rock, on sale now.

Hopefully there will be a pice on the KISS, er, ‘classic’ KISS Unmasked.
I went to 3 stores in London where they usually have it but all I saw was last months issue, will have a look again tomorrow
I couldn’t find it where I am either. I’m blaming the snow!
@Kriss Lane – Unmasked is way better than some of the shite they did in the mid to late 80’s that’s for sure. I think it’s a belting album.
Hi Guys
Sorry for the slight delay onto the shelves this month. As you rightly surmised, it’s the flippin’ snow’s fault. Keep checking back, they should be there ASAP… (And it’ll be worth the wait!)
Cheers,
Sian

Where can I find the cover artwork for the free CD for my i-pod?
Also i-tunes does not give me titles & bands automatically. Your fault or theirs?
