Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea will be part of the reunited The Faces line-up, according to current rumours and original Faces man Ronnie Wood.

Ronnie Wood has confirmed that the original line-up of The Faces (Rod Stewart, keyboard player Ian McLagan and drummer Kenney Jones. Bassist Ronnie Lane passed away in 1997) are already rehearsing for a full tour that will take place next year.

Talking to Rolling Stone, Ronnie has said: “”We had a few fantastic rehearsals last week and we’re ready to go. It’s like no time has passed by. There’s a lot of guest bass players that want to do it – including Flea. We just have to sort out when and where and drop all of the management egos and just do what we can. We know we can do it. It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s availability sometime next year.”

As if a new tour didn’t wet the apetite enough, the ‘Stones man also suggests that a musical collaboration has been discussed by Wood and Stewart, although it’s not sure if this will be for a ‘Faces album or a Rod Stewart solo album. “Rod wants me to write a load of new stuff for him, so I can do that,” said Wood.
