The Enid Re-Release First Two Albums

The Enid are about to re-release their first two albums, through their own label.

The original tapes for In The Region Of The Summer Stars (1976) and Aerie Faerie Nonsense (1977) were thought to have been lost by EMI. They were actually reconstructed and re-recorded by the band in the mid-80s, as there was a big demand for them.

Thankfully, the tapes were found in June of this year, and they’ve now been transferred to a digital format, and mastered by Max Read at The Lodge Studios. The original album artwork has also been restored.

Both will be issued by Operation Seraphim on September 6, but you can order them now at www.theenid.co.uk

Captain Coconut

What a top band, massively under-rated, can’t wait or the reissues cos my vinyl copies are just about knackered.
The ITROTSS album is one of the finest for lying on the floor in a dark room with headphones on, pure pastoral beauty and amazing musicianship. As is Aerie Fairy Nonsense.
