Tesla to headline new HRH AOR festival!
Hard Rock Hell, in proud association with Classic Rock AOR magazine, will launch a new indoor weekend melodic-rock festival in April 2013. Sacramento rock legends Tesla will top the bill, with other confirmed acts including Jeff Scott Soto, Jettblack, Danny Vaughn, Stampede, Ten, Vega, Moritz, Nubian Rose, Misbehaviour and many, many more.
The event, simply called HRH AOR, will take place at Magna Science Adventure, a spectacularly renovated steel works in Rotherham, on April 6/7, 2013.
The prime attraction at HRH AOR will be a complete UK one-off exclusive performance by Tesla, who will christen this first event with a show drawing from the best of their extensive catalogue.
Tesla – named after eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla – have maintained their credibility in a career spanning over 30 years, and with only a few visits to Europe during that time. This will be a rare opportunity to catch them in the UK for what promises to be a spectacular event.
Watch Tesla’s video for I Wanna Live from their 2008 album Forever More below.
Also just confirmed to play HRH AOR is Jeff Scott Soto, one of the most celebrated and oft-imitated voices in AOR. JSS is known for his successful stints in Talisman, Soul SirkUS, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Journey and Yngwie Malmsteen’s solo band, to name a few, and is not to be missed.

And if that’s not enough, we are also pleased to reveal that HRH AOR will be welcoming one of the first shows by legendary UK melody merchants Moritz, who are back after a 25-year sabbatical with a new album due to coincide with the event. This is your first opportunity to catch them.
Also HRH AOR is pleased to announce the following acts on to the bill: Tyketto frontman Danny Vaughn, Mancunian melodic rockers Ten, firm festival favourites Jettblack, plus Serpentine, Vega, Dante Fox, hot new female-fronted Swedes Nubian Rose, Misbehaviour, Stampede, Knock Out Kaine, Estrella, Newman, Summers and The Morning After.
Check out Nubian Rose below.
And finally we also welcome influential guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Uli’s made his name as guitarist with the Scorpions and Dawn Road as well as releasing albums under the moniker Electric Sun, and also under his own name. He is, in short, a legend and we are delighted to have him join the bill for what promises to be a fantastic weekend.
HRH AOR is set in a unique and truly amazing venue – and with zones named Earth, Steel, Wind, Fire and Water, we can’t wait to share this adventure with you.
More acts will be announced shortly but due to limited capacity be sure to book your tickets early.
