Temple Of The Dog Reform (Briefly)

Grunge supergroup Temple Of The Dog were reunited earlier this week.

It happened at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, when Chris Cornell joined Pearl Jam onstage for the song Hunger Strike.

Temple Of The Dog were formed in 1990. They featured Cornell plus the current Pearl Jam foursome of guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Matt Cameron (then with Cornell in Soundgarden), with Eddie Vedder on backing vocals. They released one self-titled album in 1991, from which Hunger Strike was the biggest hit.

That would have been awesome. The Temple of the Dog album is brilliant. Cornell’s vocals on that album are mind-blowing

I agree Blythie, that album is amazing. One of the top 5 albums of all-time I’d say!!

That’s not the end of it, Jerry Cantrell came out and played kick out the jams and the alive solo at the same show… WISH I WAS THERE!

it’s like Back In Black. yes, i dare compare it to that.

An awesome, inspiring tribute to a departed friend.
