Tee Pee Tuesday: Weird Owl

Yeah, you read right: Weird Owl. Click here for previous Tracks Of The Day.
As already established by one of the many examples of the definitive, award-winning, Pulitzer-nominated journalism we publish here on the CR website, birds and heavy rock go together like, well, like heavy rock and just about any other random thing you care to imagine.

Brooklyn’s Weird Owl look set to refine this whole bird/rock thing to a fine-feathered artform, with songs about “Flying Low Through The Air After Thunder” and puntastic titles like “Do What Th’ Owl Wilt”.

To be honest we’re not sold on the whole bird thing. The music’s a different kettle of finches though. Take TODAY’S FREE TRACK, Skeletelepathic. It’s an aviary’s-worth of hard rock flightiness: claw-footed Crazy Horse drumming, swooping 60s psyche craziness, and squawking vocals – all held together with bad acid vibes, face-melting guitar licks, and a melodic western twang.

Come to the land where the Bong-Tree grows and see for yourself!
