Sweet hit London for charity show
Veteran hard rockers Sweet are to play their first London show in nine years when they take part in a charity event next month – ahead of a 23-date co-headlining UK tour with Slade.
Andy Scott’s veteran hard rockers will appear at the Merton Manor Club in Wimbledon on September 13 at an event entitled In It For Ingrid.
The aim is to raise funds for aneurism victim Ingrid Paasch, who remains paralysed down the left side of her body because the specialist treatment she needs is not available on the NHS.
Paasch is long-time friend and fan of Paddy Goes To Holyhead, whose frontman, Danny Hynes, has organised the show. His band will appear alongside Sweet and Weapon (UK), plus a special guest act to be announced.
Special guests passes cost £25. The Merton Manor has a maximum attendance of just 250 people – so early booking is advised.
