A Swedish man is receiving sickness benefit – because he’s addicted to heavy metal music!
Seriously, 42-year-old dishwasher Roger Tullgren from Hasesleholm has been classified as suffering from a disability by the Swedish Employment Service, because of his lifestyle. Last year he went to nearly a gig every day, and he also plays in two bands. (Because we needed a photo to illustrate this story, we must assume he’s also a fan of Betsy from Bitch.)
So, the authorities have agreed to pay part of his salary. And he’s allowed to play loud music at work. How did all this start? When he heard Black Sababth in 1971.
