Stone Temple Pilots Deny Weiland Is Miming
Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo has hit back at allegations that vocalist Scott Weiland is miming on the band’s current tour.
But DeLeo told Weekender: ‘This is such bullshit. It’s so funny, because first off, if anyone in this band was lip-syncing or faking it, I wouldn’t be up there. What happened was — I’m going to set the record straight here — there was a gap between the stage and the sub monitors… Scott didn’t realise there was a gap there. I don’t know how he didn’t get hurt. He fell six feet off the stage in between the stage and the sub monitors. No one in the band saw what happened. We just saw him get back on stage. That’s the kind of makeup he has as a person. I can’t believe he didn’t get hurt.”

Miming or not he’s always a crap vocalist.
It would be great if he would really mime with a REAL singer a la Plant singing for him!

Quite a few fans have been complaining he’s been singing off key and forgetting the lyrics at recent shows. He does however appear to be sober on the current leg of the tour.
Who cares? If you’re stupid enough to go and watch them then you get what you deserve. I wish he’d broken his neck. Pish.
Scott makes a great rock star. His voice might not be as stong as say the late Ronnie James Dio or Paul Rodgers but suits the music of STP. I thought he fitted Velvet Revolver well and if that band do another album it should be with him.
