Is Steven Tyler about to become a judge on American Idol? Don’t rule it out.
While nothing is yet confirmed, the Aerosmith frontman told Billboard.com:
“This beautiful girl from Fox came up to me and made an offer. I honoured her offer… and it’s just a work in progress. They mentioned it and I listened, and we’re on tour, so I gotta give it some time.”

For the love of all that is sacred and rock n’ roll, Steven, DO NOT DO THIS- bad bad move, next there will be an announcement that he is to have his own reality tv show -’The Tylers’ and will be re recording aerosmith classics with session players.
I turn to my rock records in protest with a sense of elevated musical pride when faced with all that reality panel show crud that brainwashes our nations these days.
Steven Tyler, you are one of the most bad ass, gifted and legendary front men out there, please do not tarnish it all with this hideous act of dumbass money grabbing foolishness, they do say it comes in threes’s though don’t they- first it was :’I don’t want to miss a turd’ then the recent inner band turmoil and subsequently convienient £100 general admission ticket prices and now Tyler signs his credibility away all together with this.
C’mon boys get it together and finish that new album you spent bloody years talking about, I even loved ‘Just push play’ We need new Aerosmith music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sammy lee is right it would be suicide for steven tyler he cant sell out on real rock music for this pop music crap.
Perhaps he could front a stones tribute band :]
