Steven Adler Talks Begs Slash And Talks Chinese Democracy
Steven Adler goes on a rant about Chinese Democracy and Slash.
Steven Adler former Guns N’ Roses drummer is flogging a dead horse as he complains about the latest Guns album “Chinese Democracy.”
While speaking to Australia’s Beat magazine, Adler said: “I didn’t enjoy it. Not one bit. I didn’t recognise Axl’s voice on it. There’s occasional parts where he does a loud scream but I didn’t even know it was him.”
Still even if he is complaining about that Adler has a lot to be happy about. He is back playing with Slash on his current solo project.
Adler added: “I grew up learning how to play drums not with a bass player, but with a guitar player; with Slash. Usually it was just him and me practicing.”
“It’s just been so wonderful to have my best friend back in my life, and me being a part of his life, and he being a part of mine. He says he has one song, because he’s working on a solo record, and he has the one song that he says is specifically for me. All I ask is that one opportunity to get in there because I wanna be his drummer. I mean that’s how we started out.”
“You know, we’re both more level headed and still alive and better player than we were, we’re in a better place than we were. I WANNA BE HIS MAIN DRUMMER!!
My main goal, I got my best friend back, now I just wanna finish what we started. I mean it’s a shame I missed out on all the other records and all the people he’s played with. Because of my drug addiction I missed out on so many things. I’m grateful to be alive and have the opportunity to be able to get back together with him.”
My god this is just a little bit sad to read. God he’s desperate.

In an ideal world the ‘Appetite’ line-up would still be together and delivering the goods!
Even though I thought that ‘Chinese Democracy’ had it’s moments it could never be what it was!

hey I think sSteve Adler is right, about the new album…. stupid ginger twat (pardon me Axl but everyone ahtes ya now let it go)… thing is I’ve been in a siomalr situation as Steve me and my best mate (good luck to her) have neded up apart becuase of one person who clearly can’t see we don’t get on well with her…. i’m just sorta think here Steve speaks my mind here…and some r[psect for steve dud ya my fav rock you rule!

I was at a Steven Adler drum clinic last week in Brisbane, Australia and he said the same there. Also adding that Axl was selfish with what he had done under the G n’ R banner adding “he (Axl) should have let us finish what we started”. Steven also said he was mad keen for a reunion tour of the “Appetite” line up.
Steven was also a very likeable, fun character that just loves playing the drums. He even hammered out 4 songs on the drums over audio of “Appetite” for us!
I like those guys and know they have been thru hell with all the drama and stuff going on in Gn’R….I wish them the best…I can totaly relate to them cuz they are ‘human’…a quality lacking with Axl.
glad/hope Adler has cleaned up. Saw him on TV and he was a mess before he went into the clinic….
