Steven Tyler Injured, Aerosmith Cancel Tour Dates
Rock and Roll is dangerous – even more so if you’re getting on a bit. An unspecific injury to lead singer Steven Tyler has meant the band have had to cancel two forthcoming US shows.
It was reported by Reuters that fans saw Steve apparently pull a muscle at a concert last month.
Tomorrow’s concert in Charlotte North Carolina will be rescheduled.
Guitarist Joe Perry apologised to fans on Twitter and asked them to pray for Steve’s quick return.
The band’s present tour has been dogged by injury. Last month guitarist Brad Whitford was sidelined with a head injury after taking a knock getting out of his Ferrari, which later resulted in internal bleeding. He was due to return to the band yesterday but the show was postponed because of Steven’s injury.
This most recent spate of ill health in the band follows Joe’s knee replacement operation last year, Steven’s treatment for pneumonia and bassist Tom Hamilton’s battle with throat cancer.
We reckon it’s quite likely that Steve has injured his leg given how tight his trousers are and we hope to see him prancing up and down the stage again soon.
I know I am stating the obvious here, but you’d be so pissed of if ya had tickets to one of those shows!

I’m seeing them in Vegas in 2 weeks with ZZ Top – if they cancel I’ll be so pissed off.
Having forked out the ticket cost ‘booking fees’, ;convienice fees’ & fee to collect my own tickets from the venue & any other fee they can find an excuse to charge for (thank you Ticketmaster)
They are the only decent bands playing while we are there (been before and we always seem to miss all the good bands – check out who’s playing that week and no one!)
OMG thats so sad, im going 2 go to 1 of their concerts and i hope they all make speedy recoveries expecioly steven tyler if something really bad happend 2 him i dont kmow what i would do
We are hopefully going to see Aerosmith in Chicago on the 28th of aug. I really hope Steven and the rest of the band can be there, especially I want to see Joey Kramer, and hopefully get a autograph of his book, It is wonderful, I met him in Madison Wi., and got a autograph on a $50 dollar bill, and nomatter how hard things get, I will never cash it in, I cherrish it. I can’t believe them wonderful “LIPS” didn’t cushion the fall, really I pray for his full recovery.
