Status Quo announce Frantic Four live packages
Status Quo are gearing up to release a series of live recordings made during the March reunion tour of their Frantic Four lineup.
Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan got back together for a run of shows that manager Simon Porter admits would have been “unthinkable” just two years ago.
On September 14 Quo launch a limited-edition earBook which includes a blu-ray and DVD of their full show at Wembley, a CD of selected tracks from the same concert, a 2CD set recorded at the Hammersmith Apollo, plus a disc of extras including behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage.
While all but the last disc will also be released separately, and vinyl will be available too, fans have the chance to be listed in the limited earBook edition.
Those who pre-order before the production date will be named in the book that accompanies the package. The band will be looking online for personal memories from the reunion tour posted using the hashtag #FranticFour, and the best of those will be included in the book, which features pictures by original tour photographer Danny Clifford.
Rossi and Parfitt are continuing work with the current Quo lineup featuring new drummer Leon Cave. They’ll release new album Bula Quo! on June 10 with their feature film of the same name following in July, and tour the UK in December with 10cc:
