Slayer's Lombardo Offers Lars Ulrich Drum Lessons

Slayer’s Dave Lombardo has offered to teach Lars Ulrich how to play drums!

Talking to Rhythm magazine, Lombardo says:

“No disrespect to Lars, because Lars is great and he’s a very nice guy, but he needs to spend a week at my house and we need to sit down and play.

“I could show him — ‘No, Lars, like this!’… ‘Let’s chill, let’s relax, have some coffee and let’s play!’ Hahahahaha!”

So far, there’s no indication that Ulrich has taken up this kind offer.

The Lars Ulrich of 25 years ago wouldn’t need lessons from Dave. Metallica should just retire.

I’d watch that…..

LOL!!!! That’s really funny.

Well then James can give Kerry guitar lessons and it would be fair.

Jeez,
I remember I posted something about Lars not being up to part nowadays but this is kinda heavy.

The thing is old Lars has recently admitted to not being “the most accomplished drummer there is”. But one thing is saying it yourself, the other is being bashed on the net. The worst is being told what it is by a colleague who knows what he’s talking about.
If I were Lars I’d feel offended and ridiculed. (and don’t give me the “he’s stinking rich and doesn’t care” kind of rant.

hahaahhaaah :)

what an asshole

Well, I recon it’s a fair trade, as Lars is kind of cheating in recent records, as well as gigs. That would be not playing double bass drums when needed – instead, simply kicking single shots, and playing whit his tongue… I been great fan of tallica, but if they’re to survive in it’s genre – they have to practice more! that would be to Kirk and Lars – James is ok!
