Seger Goes Back To The Future
Bob Seger goes back in time with the upcoming Early Seger Vol 1 compilation.
Highlights of the 10 tracks are four unreleased songs: Star Tonight (which was actually recorded by Don Johnson), Wildfire, Days When The Rain Would Come and Gets Ya Pumpin’. The last song was written for Seger’s 1973 album Seven, under the titled of Pumpin’. All of these have new vocals and extra instrumentation, added by the man earlier this year.
The rest of the tracks are Long Song Comin’ (again featuring extensive re-recording), a cover of Tim Hardin’s If I Were A Carpenter, Some Day, his version of The Allman Brothers’ Midnight Rider, Get Out Of Denver and UMC (Upper Middle Class) – all of which have been remastered.
