Sandy Denny Box Set In November
The late Sandy Denny is to have a massive box set released by Universal on November 1.
Self-titled, it will have 19 CDs, 11 of which will showcase all her commercially released music with Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Strawbs, Alex Campbell, John Silvo and also as a solo artist.
The rest of this set has unreleased songs, demos, live recordings, BBC sessions, alternate takes, acoustic performances and radio interviews. In all, there are 15 previously unavailable songs, plus over 100 previously unreleased recordings.
The lavish box set also includes a 72-page hardback book, a reproduction of one of Denny’s notebooks, with handwritten lyrics, an A2 colour poster and a copy of the receipt for her first piano.

I ordered this from Amazon UK months ago and can’t wait! I have lots and lots of Sandy/Fairport stuff, but this new box was just impossible for me to pass on it in spite of the steep price tag.
