Roger Daltrey wants to record a blues record – with Jimmy Page.
As he starts a US tour supporting Eric Clapton, The Who frontman says:
“I’d love to do something, I’d love to do an album with Jimmy Page. He needs a singer to drive him. I’m a great blues singer. I don’t sing the blues with The Who, but that’s what I used to be before [Pete] Townshend started writing. I used to be a great blues singer.”

“I used to be a great blues singer”
I’m sure you were Roger, but seeing as your general vocal abilities have deteriorated I doubt you still are. However I would love to be proved incorrect.
Roger – after that Super Bowl performance–stick to the harp and let someone half your age belt out the blues–Jimmy Page is a master who already went thru Robert Plant losing his voice
bollocks! roger daltrey would make a great blues singer and a fine edition to any music jimmy page might want to play. obviously you have not seen/heard roger perform on the last several Who tours. he’s definitely still on his game. and please, don’t be misled by the crappy sound from the superbowl halftime show.
