Rockstars Set To Drive At The Range
What does your average classic rock superstar enjoy on their day off? A leisurely round of golf, of course.
That’s why Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer has invited a crowd of music industry chums including Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson, Niko McBrain and Warrant guitarists Joey Allen and Erik Turner to the Pacific University Legends Golf Classic this August.
The event, which starts on August 2nd is in aid of the University’s athletics programme and has raised over $250,000 in it’s first two years.
The legend of the music world will be joined by professional golfers Shaun Micheel, PGA championship winner Brian Henninger and new blood John Mallinger. Also appearing will be various American sports personalities from other fields and several screen actors.
We assume that Dickinson will be playing all his shots with the heaviest iron available on his maiden appearance at the tournament.
