Rock With Keel
Keel are to release a remastered version of their album The Right To Rock on January 25, 2010 – exactly 25 years after it was first issued.
The reactivated LA band are re-recording the title track, and are getting fans involved. If you fancy having your voice on this updated version, just follow these instructions from Keel:
“All you have to do is send us an MP3 of you singing the title chorus line, The Right To Rock, and we’ll compile the best of what we receive and insert them into our brand new version of this song.
“It’s easy – if you have a microphone for your computer and some simple recording software, you can go to myspace.com/keelband and download a reference mix which has a space for you to sing in. Try to sing in tune and in time, or just scream your guts out like we do!”
This album will be released by Frontiers, who are simultaneously putting out the band’s new album, The Streets Of Rock & Roll.
Frontman Ron Keel is coming over to Britain next month. He’s doing a solo acoustic set supporting Y&T at: Manchester Academy III October 27, Glasgow ABC 29, Newcastle O2 Academy 30, Nottingham Rock City 31, Dudley JB’s November 1, Oxford O2 Academy II 3, Cardiff Globe 5, Southampton Brook 6, London Islington O2 Academy 7.
