Rival Sons lose bassist
Rival Sons bassist Robin Everhart has left the band, it’s been confirmed.
The rising-star US blues-rock outfit – who won the Breakthrough Artist Award at last year’s Classic Rock Roll Of Honour event – will play their upcoming Norwegian festival dates and US tour with David Beste standing in.
Guitarist Scott Holiday says: “Regretfully, we have to let our fans know that Robin has left. It’s an amicable split and we shall all remain brothers. We wish him well.”
Everhart says: “After years of intensive touring I’ve come to conclusion that I’m not a road warrior and the rock’n'roll lifestyle is not for me. I’ll miss playing the music we made together and I’m proud of our many accomplishments over the last eight years.
“It’s been an honour to play for your – Keep On Swinging!”
Holiday vows: “Although we will miss our pal, everyone is extremely excited and revved up for the next chapter.”
A permanent replacement will be named in due course.
Rival Sons – who recently delivered an exclusive acoustic set for Classic Rock – released third album Head Down in 2012, including rock-chart hit single Keep On Swinging. We named it the second-best album of the year.
