Rival Sons Drummer Does Double Shift For Charity
Rival Sons drummer Michael Miley had a very busy time on March 28. He played sets at two London venus with virtually no break.
Firstly, he was onstage with the Sons at The HMV Forum for the last date of their sold-out UK tour with Black Stone Cherry. He came straight offstage, and headed for the Royal Albert Hall, where he played with first Steve Winwood and then Roger Daltrey at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig. Miley performed with Winwood on Higher Love and, before getting behind the kit with Daltrey for Baba O’Riley.
A clearly excited Miley told Classic Rock: “Are you kidding me? Royal Albert Hall? Roger Daltrey, Steve Winwood, Ronnie Wood?! I got to sit in with them??!! Am I dreaming? What an experience. What a show. All to benefit young people battling cancer. God bless those kids. And God bless Roger for putting together these concerts. I am very thankful to have been part of it”.
