Resistance Isn’t Futile
There’s a rare opportunity to witness art and rock’n'roll getting mixed up next month – and we mean R.A.R.E.That’s the name of a four-day event happening at the Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green, London.
R.A.R.E. stands for Rock And Roll Expressionists – and that’s exactly what you get. Those exhibiting their artistic tendencies are Tyla of The Dogs D’Amour fame, Gaye Black who, as Gaye Advert, played bass with punk crew The Adverts, Alabama 3’s Nick Reynolds, goth/rockabilly art guru Vince Ray and former Yo-Yo’s/Dogs D’Amour guitarist Tom Spence.
There will also be live sets from The Loyalties and Vince Ray And The Boneshakers (December 1), TV Smith of The Adverts and Nick Reynolds (December 2), Tyla And The Dogs (3), the R.A.R.E. house band (4).
