Record Store Day: Support Your Local Music Outlet
Tomorrow (April 17) is Record Store Day, which celebrates the continued existence of independent record stores. Come inside to find out how you can support your local music outlet – and hopefully prevent it going the way of Woolworths!
Over 100 UK stores – and many more around the world – are participating in the biggest party ever for independent record shops.
Special vinyl and CD releases as well as various promotional products have been made exclusively for the day. (Click here for a full list of participating UK stores.) None of these items will be on sale in chain stores, online, or anywhere else – they can only be purchased from independent stores in person on the day.
Go and get one of the many exclusive items available tomorrow including a special single from Black Sabbath and Metallica.
Limited to just 1,000 copies, and available on 12-inch only, this will feature the Unkle remix of Metallica’s Frantic on one side and an alternative version of the Sabs’ Paranoid on the other, with different lyrics.
Other Classic Rock-friendly items produced for Record Store Day include:
* Jimi Hendrix – Valleys Of Neptune UK exclusive hand-numbered coloured vinyl EP
