Ray Davies: ‘I Want To Record With Metallica’
Ray Davies and Metallica. Recording together? It might happen.
Davies is currently revisiting some of his old songs, redoing these with the likes of Brice Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi – and the celebrated metal masters are in his sights.
Blabbermouth reports that Davies has said: “I listen to their music and I think we could do a quite interesting collaboration.”
He added: “I want it to be diverse and interesting, not the obvious things and hopefully stretch the artists and get them to do things that either that they wouldn’t have thought of or in some case that I wouldn’t have thought of. I’d like it to be truly collaborative.”
What would they do together? Why not the classic Kinks track All The Day And All Of The Night? Davies and Metallica did do this live last October at Madison Square Garden, part of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

Brice Springsteen?
Brice was Bruce’s conjoined twin who shrivelled up years ago out of sheer boredom.
