Ratt, Dokken in plane fire drama
Members of Ratt and Dokken endured tense moments in the air yesterday as the cockpit of their private jet burst into flames.
The plane, carrying 13 passengers, had just taken off from Moline, Illinois, taking the musicians to the next stop of their current package tour which also includes Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford and Warrant.
Crew were able to control the fire and returned to Moline Airport wearing oxygen masks, pulling an emergency landing with ground support vehicles in attendance. No one was injured in the episode.
Ratt manager Rob Hoffman tells Blabbermouth: “We are all okay and happy to be alive. The tour rolls on!”
Dokken bassist Sean McNabb adds: “Got hairy, but safe. We’re good rolling in SUVs to Chicago.”
Last night’s concert in Chicago went ahead as planned.
