Rare Zeppelin Live Recording Found

A rare Led Zeppelin live recording has been unearthed – in a car boot sale. The band’s celebrated gig at St. Matthews Baths Hall, a converted swimming pool in Ipswich, during November 1971 was never actually fully recorded. Or so everyone thought.

However, Zeppelin fan Vic Kemp came across a CD of the entire gig while rummaging through a car boot sale in Ipswich.

Just goes to prove, if you’re prepared to look carefully you never know what gem might be discovered in the oddest of places!

Vic, you should have checked ebay, before going to a car boot sale, I bought a copy of this gig 3 months ago, (don`t waste your time looking now, ebay banned it).

Oh fuck, presume this will be an excuse for Classic Rock to do a 20 page Led Zep bootleg wankathon special. Accompanied by a glossy supplement, ‘What Jimmy Page Has For His Tea’.

he should pass it on for the right price to somebody who will actually get it re-released.

any chance of a copy Vic I have many to trade

Would this be the same ‘rare’ gig that this blokey has had since at least 2008?:

Or would it be this bootleg that’s been kicking around for years:

Next week I hope to go to any record fair in the UK to pick up loads more ‘rare’ recently ‘unearthed’ recordings that haven’t been knocking around fans collections for years! :-)

It’s over 230 minutes. i just dug up my copy, when I read this post. Mine is EVSD, “Feelin’ Groovy”

Lame lame lame!!! This is not news worthy at all. That recording has been around before. I mean, my gawd, it’s on a CD? How rare could that even be?

it as been out for years, called over the 12 ft end.

it’s been around for years called “over the 12 ft end “

THE most embarrassingly pointless Zep bootleg news story EVAH!

…came across a CD of the entire gig while rummaging through a car boot sale in Ipswich…

I nearly bust a gut.

Actually, the full show has been out for years (albeit made up of four different sources).

I tracked down a tape with the rare encores Weekend & Gallows Pole about 9 years ago (thanks to original taper ‘Nigel’ from Ipswich). The rest of the gig was already circulating.
