The Sun has used the headline Bellamy Rages Against The Mancini.Now, Classic Rock doesn’t find it remotely interesting that the story concerns Craig Bellamy of Manchester City falling out with the club’s manager Roberto Mancini. No, we mention this because of the way Rage Against The Machine have become so mainstream, puns on their name are being used in the tabloid press.
We wonder whether, should Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Steve Bull turn up on the pitch at Molineux, we’ll read the headline Bull’s On Parade – don’t worry, Robert Plant and Glenn Hughes will understand!
Dont think it’s because they have become “so mainstream”, more the fact that they probably had a lot of media attention because they wiped Cowell’s arse for him at christmas. Without that i seriously doubt the crappy Sun would be punning them – anything to jump on the currently contoversial / overwhelmingly prevalent viewpoint.
