Radiohead’s New Song Honours WW1 Veteran

A brand new track from Radiohead entitled Harry Patch (In Memory Of) is available as as a download from today (August 5).

The song can be downloaded from Radiohead’s official online store, Download.waste.uk.com, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

Harry Patch (In Memory Of) was written by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Patch was the last living British World War 1 veteran until he passed away on July 25 this year aged 111.

What has this got to do with Classic Rock? Respect to the band and the man, but I come here for the bands I can’t read about anywhere else.

Whilst Radiohead are not a classic rock band it links in with the Classic Rock presents Prog series, as Radiohead are an arty experimental prog band.

Having watched Radiohead on TV at Reading last night,and trying to listen to their tracks over the years. Could someone please tell me what is the appeal of this boring tuneless group.
