There’s a mutual love between Status Quo and Muse.
The latter have played Quo’s Burning Bridges live, and now Quo’s Francis Rossi has openly stated how much he admires Muse.
He told Undercover Music News: “To me that band makes an incredible noise and how they control it is phenomenal in itself; the way they manage to stick a melody in there every time. I love them to death. They should have been terminated a long time ago. We can’t have that kind of competition.”

Then after that it’s all a load of rollucks!
Not entirely! Albums like Whatever you want (1979), Never too late (1981) and Just Supposin (1980) are also close to the classic albums you mention.
Come on….after the “wilderness” (read: drugs) years there’s been some solid stuff. Their live act still rocks like no other band of their era.
