Quiet Riot Reunite
Quiet Riot are back – with a new line-up.
The band, who stormed the US charts with their version of Slade’s Cum On Feel The Noize in 1983, stopped in 2007 following the death of vocalist Kevin DuBrow. But now they’re back.
Original drummer Frankie Banali is rejoined by former members Alex Grossi (guitar) and Chuck Wright (bass), while Mark Huff is the new singer. He previously fronted a Van Halen tribute band, one that concentrated on the Sammy Hagar era of the band.
Huff tried out for the band via a ‘cattle call’ audition and got the gig. After getting the blessing from DuBrow’s mother to carry on with Quiet Riot (and to celebrate her son’s music) QR were ready to rock once more.
The band are currently booking a North American tour, and there’s a documentary on the Quiet Riot story. This is being put together by Banali.
Quiet Riot’s 1986 release, QR III, and their 1988 self-titled album have just been being reissued via the Rock Candy label.
