Queen Star’s Lover Dies
The long-time lover of Freddie Mercury has passed away.
Mercury began dating Irish hairdresser Jim Hutton in the early 1980s and their relationship continued until the Queen frontman’s death in 1991.
Hutton, who was diagnosed with the HIV virus in 1990, passed away on New Year’s Day of complications from broncho-pneumonia. He also reportedly suffered from cancer in the last few years of his life.
The Jam! showbiz website is reporting that Hutton was buried in Bennekerry, Ireland on Monday, which would have been his 61st birthday.
