Public Image Ltd. are to release a special 30th anniversary edition of their second album Metal Box on December 7.
This will come in a replica of the original metal canister, and is a triple CD, mirroring the fact that the 1979 release had three vinyl records.
A week later a four-CD, 64-track compilation will be put out, called Plastic Box. This spans the band’s entire career. It will include Peel Session recordings and remixes.
The reunited PiL, featuring John Lydon on vocals, have five shows coming up next month. They happen at Birmingham Academy December 15, Glasgow Academy 18, Manchester Academy 19, London Brixton O2 Academy 21, London Camden Electric Ballroom 22.
