Prog On The Telly

Sky Arts Centre Stage programme, which airs every night at 9pm on Channel 256, features three programmes of interest to prog rock fans over the forthcoming week.

Genesis: A History will air on 12 March, a must for any fan of the mega-selling prog rock giants. On a more obscure note, Talk Talk, a band not readily associated with the prog rock genre, but whose latter work is discussed in the first issue of Classic Rock Presents Prog, have a live concert from 1996 aired on 19 March. Tune in to see what we might be talking about. And finally, Zappa Plays Zappa will air on 25 March, again a must for any fans of the musical legend that was Frank Zappa.

By sheer coincidence, the very first issue of Classic Rock presents Prog, our new offshoot quarterly title devoted to all aspects of progressive rock, will be on sale from all good newsagents on 25 March too. Featuring Pink Floyd on the cover, and with exclusive interviews with the likes of Rush, Yes, Marillion, Coheed & Cambria and Rick Wakeman, as well as healthy coverage of new, up and coming prog rock acts, Classic Rock presents Prog is a must for all fans of progressively inclined music.
