Hello Mr Stuff: No, subscribers don’t get it. Why? Because it’s not a regular issue of Classic Rock – it’s a special, one-off, stand-alone, bells-and-whistles, never to be repeated, limited edition, onsale for 4 weeks only, buy-two-and-sell-one-on-Ebay, type deal.

Don’t think of it as an issue of Classic Rock, think of it as the Slash album, with 2 bonus tracks that won’t actually be on the Roadrunner version, released a month before that version… with free gubbins AND the ultimate guide to the making of the album. The mag is like the greatest sleevenotes ever – including interviews with many of the people on the album – plus an over-view of Slash’s career (and is edited by Mick Wall).

It’ll be great – but I’m afraid it’s not what you subscribed to or for.

This month’s issue, meanwhile, DOES have the full new Joe Perry album…

I don’t think so. Since its a “Classic Rock Presents” and not just another monthly issue.

Will it be for sale on the newsstands outside of the UK as well? Cause I live in the Netherlands and I want to make sure it’ll be for sale here as well.

oh, and while we’re having a whinge, can we go back to having some prog back in the mag please, I’ve been a reader since issue 1 and a bit disappointed that I’m now expected to buy 2 magazines to read about me fave bands.

Sounds fab. I’ve got my order in. I am really enjoying the Joe Perry CD that came with the latest CR – a welcome change to get a complete album rather than a compilation of tracks.

How can I get it in Romania? In my town there’s only one store in one mall when Classic Rock arrives regularly and I’m afraid this special Slash issue won’t arrive. Help?!

be on the safe side ordered mine on play .com and my favourite magazines so one will still be in its wrapper whilst the other one il will devour every page on slash and play the cd upto 11,

surprised Axl Rose hasn’t sent in his lawyers to prevent slash from covering “Paradise City” with cypress hil and Fergie, put it this way slash and co have done a lot more in the 15 or so years than it took for Axl to complete one measly album in CHINESE DEMOCRACY!

A pre pre-release for subscribers would be good!!!!!

fantastic solo album of Slash..but i think he still has a band attitude…so he always need another vocalist..when will he create a total solo guitar? i don’t know…but he’s very incredible guitar player..

I live in Oz and have been buying CR for years, admittedly getting the “latest” issue about 3 months after UK release so I guess we won’t get a sniff of the Slash CD. Never mind, Oz still rocks like a bastard, poor UK!!

The CD is not like our the mag’s regular cardboard sleeve. It is, says Brad our Art Ed, “like a book, with the liner notes, in the book, and the CD at the back. Pics when we get em.

Have I read this wrong only1,000 earlybird copies available for April 7th yet they go on to say they will be available in over 3,000 outlets on April 7th……..doesn’t make sense to me, can anyone tell me if I have read it wrong cos 1 copy in each outlet adds up to more than 1,000 being released on April 7th.

i think it will be on shelves only in UK (or maybe not even there) , for the rest of the world you have to order it online .

Just ordered the mag from Australia just in case it sells out… This is an awesome idea that I hope is the beginning of a new way of distributing some great music. Plus, you get all the info regarding the album in one neat package. Well done & can’t wait to receive my copy (in excellent condition I hope).

I pre-ordered the slash pack a few days ago.. when will it be delivered? Will I get it on April 7th? It says it is on sale the 7th but in my order confirmation e-mail it said it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days.. I’m a little confused on when I will get it.
