Pilots Ready New Album, But Who’ll Release It?

Stone Temple Pilots are currently finishing up a new album, which is due next spring.
It’s being produced by Don Was, and the band have cancelled all touring plans for December and January to concentrate on the project.
Although right now, who knows what label will put it out? Currently there’s a dispute between Atlantic Records, the band’s long-time record company, and singer Scott Weiland plus drummer Eric Kretz.
The STP pair claim they are now free agents to sign a new deal, while Atlantic insist they’re still under contract to them.
