I have to agree with Jon, Paul shouldn’t have talked about Ace that way. Sounds like Paul is just a little jealous that Ace is stealing some of their limelight by releasing his LP right at the same time KISS is putting out Sonic Boom. Face it Paul, Ace gave KISS a big part of the original sound that KISS has been trading on for years and years now. Ace’s comments were complimentary and humble, he actually had good things to say about the new KISS track.
Paul, GET OVER YOURSELF BRO-HAM!
That said, I’ll still get the two albums, because when it comes down to it, it’s only rock n roll but I liiiike it.

Again paul speaks from his ass. He spits out words to see where they land. How can you put down a guy (Ace) who is working at life everyday, and staying sober. What makes Paul Stanley so special to speak this way about Ace, a friend of his. Why can’t Paul & Gene be professional and real human beings and just say hey, I’m happy he’s making music again. Why say it took us months to do what took him 20 years. Why say that? It’s just to be insulting. It’s just to be rude. I am happy I no longer buy into the Kiss BS. After reading this article, it’s hard to like a guy like Paul Stanley. We already know about the kind of guy Gene is. Kiss is a tribute band filled with bitter old fools. Ace has shown class through out when referring to the topic of Gene & Paul, & Kiss. I will never buy another Kiss product, and they have lost a fan of 32 years. Congrats!

Kiss became a different band in the 1980s, they became a generic hair band not fit to play under the KISS logo (Which Ace designed)

And it’s not that Ace and Peter couldn’t handle it, that is Bull Shit, Ace left on his own terms to start a solo career (Paul even took him out to lunch to try to convince him not to go), and as for Peter, he was fired, for his bad attitude

Ace never blew anything (*maybe Paul did, though), he took risks, leaving KISS because you want to achieve greater things isn’t blowing a chance, it’s striving to challenge yourself (and distance yourself from the growing heads of Paul and Gene)

also, maybe his albums sound dated now (in your opinion) but you can’t argue the fact that they were NOT dated in the 80s, when they were released, Ace hasnt released an album since ‘89

In the 90s Ace left the group, again, because of Genes control complex, and, AGAIN, to do his own thing, this, AGAIN, is not blowing it (right Paul?)

a) they’re both shit hot and
b)both bands tour the UK next year.

Kiss has always survived with out Ace or Peter….Everytime Ace has put out an album it sounds the same….dated.
