Now Led Zeppelin AREN’T Going To Replace Plant
Yesterday, Jimmy Page’s manager Peter Mensch told 6Music that Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham would be searching for a singer to replace Robert Plant. Today, Mensch has emphatically stated that Led Zeppelin is over. Will it ever end…After yesterday’s statement that Led Zep will be carrying on, Musicradar have published an interview in which Mensch says: “Led Zeppelin are over! If you didn’t see them in 2007, you missed them. It’s done. I can’t be any clearer than that.”
“They tried out a few singers, but no one worked out,” Mensch continues. “That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it.”
When pushed on what Page would be working on in 2009, Mensh responded “Fuck if I know. I’m waiting to hear.”
Meanwhile, Robert Plant has completely stepped away from the idea of a Zeppelin reunion and is set to hit the studio with Alison Krauss later on this month to begin work on the follow-up to ‘Raising Sand’, while it’s also been announced that Plant will recieve a CBE for his services to music.

“If you didn’t see them in 2007, you missed them.”
Sadly, not being Peter Kay, Chris Evans or a strung-out model from the 1990s, I missed them. If they were to get together again (and this news makes it sound unlikely, I know, but we live in hope), will they be doing another of their completely fair, completely unbiased, names pulled out of a hat ticket lotteries? If so, I’d better get famous or I won’t have a cat in hell’s chance.
Well, I must say I’m not that surprised. Was too good to be true anyway. Rumours all over about nothing. So next time I will assume it will be true until a tour has been planned and announced.

This is SO simple!
Led Zeppelin Are over, there is no way on earth that Page/Jones will go out as LZ ok!?
BUT they will get a singer, record some songs and do some shows (maybe even slot a few LZ songs into the set) THIS BAND WILL NOT BE CALLED “LED ZEPPELIN”.
Good luck to them,i`ll be there.
As i said,simple really.
I don’t understand why plant has too be against anothes led zep tour, i mean when your a rock n roll star you have to give the fans what they want if wasn’t for us the fans led zep would be playing down at your local pub to some drunks. Page and Jpj should go ahead with led zep, AC/DC went on after bon scott died and made one of the greatest albums ever back in black that just goes to show that there is life after your singer is gone. I would pay Page and JPJ and to find a singer and go back into the studio just one last time!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………………….
Plant is a dog in the manager. When Page made record with Coverdale he suddenly wanted to make 1/2 LedZep reunion - short-lived ofcourse.
Well release the F@#K’EN DVD of the O2 show so all the fans who didn’t even have a chance to see them might.
It drives ya mad.
OK - if that’s it over and done with, how about releasing the O2 gig on DVD in its entirety.
It’s in the can….give us a look!
Robert has always said he would not reform Led Zep. I think it is tacky to go ahead without him.
Funny how everyone was’nt up in arms about a renunion when Bonzo died, people were willing to accept the end of Zeppelin back then coz the band would never be the same without him. So why can’t this be the case with Robert? Just because he ain’t dead the media labelled him with some kind of obligation to jump on the ‘bandwagon’ as it were. People should have stopped spitting their dummies out a long time ago just because they (just like millions of fans the world over) couldn’t go to the o2 show. get over it, its done, thats it.
You can’t have Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant, if it is over then thats it, did not see them in 07 but saw them in 1979 at Knebworth (Awesome)
