No End To Paradise
On the eve of the release of Paradise Lost’s new album, singer Nick Holmes confesses he’s amazed at the band’s longevity.
Talking to Classic Rock, the Yorkshireman admitted he can’t believe the band have been going now for 21 years.
“I remember when I was a kid wondering why bands like Magnum kept going. What motivates them to keep doing it? Now I realise that when there’s nothing else you can do, that’s motivation enough.”
Holmes has also admitted to a fear of the band ending.
“There are some mornings when I wake up and really do worry that it might all be over. But we just get on with things. In reality, why should it end? The only thing I can see stopping us is ill health.”
The influential goth metal band start a UK tour on October 30 at Glasgow King Tut’s. They then head to Wrexham Central Station 31, Newcastle Academy November 1, Manchester Academy 2, London Islington Academy 3, Sheffield Academy 4, Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall 5.
New album Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us is released by Century Media on September 28.
