Ain’t she sweet? Janie Liszewski married Eddie Van Halen last weekend – and, true to form, there wasn’t a single brown M&M in sight at the wedding reception.

California-based website The RadReport.com has the story…

When Eddie Van Halen and his fiancee Janie Liszewski wed this last weekend one of the gifts presented to guests were custom-printed M&M’s, among a number of other lovely items.

And as you know Eddie has a history with M&M’s. Specifically the brown ones. In 1982 the four members of Van Halen infamously destroyed the backstage of a venue when absentminded promoters failed to follow their policy of “absolutely no brown” M&M’s.

So were confectioners upheld to the same past details of Van Halen for the wedding? The bride confirmed that, well, there were no brown M’s present: “We chose green and white M&M’s for this occasion.”

In other sordid wedding details…

Van Halen, 54, tied the knot with his lover, 39, on Saturday evening in the garden at his seven-acre estate after walking down the aisle to his hit record ‘When It’s Love’.

Their first dance was to Joe Cocker’s ‘You Are So Beautiful’, followed by Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time’.

His son Wolfgang, 18, was the best man, while his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli was among the 100 guests. His brother Alex Van Halen, who is an ordained minister, gave the service.

The musician was dressed in Sy Devore cotton trousers, an untucked shirt and flip-flops, while his bride wore a champagne and pink Hanna Hartnell gown.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in New York, Holland and Germany. (That’s enough wedding details – Ed.)

No doubt the version of “When It’s Love” had Michael Anthony removed from the mix.

katie hanson

….and Dave Lee Roth was not there.

Is Janie a talented classically trained musician like Eddie? Will She be another creative musician in Van Halen? What field did she come from where she met Eddie?
