Nickelback Announce Black Stone Cherry As UK Tour Support
Multi-million selling Canadians Nickelback have announced that Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry will support them on their upcoming UK arena shows in May. Get your Nickelback tickets!

Glasgow SECC – 23rd May.
Newcastle Metro Arena – 25th May.
Birmingham’s NIA – 26th May.
London’s O2 Arena – 28th May.
Sheffield Arena – 29th May.
Black Stone Cherry aren’t aliens to huge arena tours after securing an opening slot with rock legends Def Leppard and Whitesnake on their European double headline arena tour. They are released their second studio album ‘Folklore and Superstition’ in August 2008. Vocalist/guitarist Chris Robertson reflects on the process, saying,
“Starting out as a band seven years ago, with high hopes and even bigger dreams, I honestly believe this record shows the experience of our past travels, and gives a hint of the future. It captures all the energy and heart that embody Black Stone Cherry. We took some chances on this album and I believe that our fans will appreciate seeing the other sides of the band that they may or may not have known existed.”
Nickelback vocalist, Chad Kroeger has also commented on his take on Nickelback’s popularity, “I honestly think that with every song you release you have to keep winning your own fans over again,” he explains. “I want every single song to be amazing. That’s what I want to hear, so that’s what we have to try to provide to our fans.”

BSC are soo much more melodic, they’re better song writers, they simply beat Nickelback by a mile.
Personally, I reckon the southern boys’re on their way to being the next biggest thing.

Nickelback were one of the first bands I got into when I was younger, and now BSC are my favourite band, and the guys are lovely too!!!

OH WOW! I LOVE “BLACK STONE CHERRY” AND SAW THEM WHEN THEY SUPPORTED DEF LEPPARD AND WHITESNAKE, SO CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN! NOT SURE IF THE TERM “SUPPORT ACT” IS QUITE ACCURATE AS SEEING THEM LAST YEAR WAS LIKE WATCHING 3 TOP BANDS AT THE SAME CONCERT! ALTHOUGH SAYING THAT I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE CHAD AND NICKELBACK AGAIN AS I SAW THEM LAST YEAR AND THEY WERE OUTSTANDING. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN ON ALL NIGHT FOR ME, AS I DID NOT WANT THE CONCERT TO END!
I BOOKED MY TICKET BEFORE THE TICKET OFFICE WHERE I GET MINE FROM HAD ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WERE SELLING THEM! THEY WANTED TO KNOW HOW I KNEW NICKELBACK WERE COMING TO ENGLAND! BEING CHAD’S BIGGEST FAN SEEMS TO HAVE ITS ADVANTAGES!
Love Nickelback and Black Stone Cherry. WOW. My night in May just got better! I thought that they might have brought SEETHER and SAVING ABEL instead as they toured with them in the States, but I am so glad that I will see 2 brilliant bands on the same night again. Sheffield will certainly rock on the 29 May!

OH MY GOD! JUST BEEN TO SEE NICKELBACK LAST NIGHT! EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESSIE FROM BOYFRIEND! FANTASTIC! BSC WERE BRILLIANT, SINGING HIGHWAY TO HELL! LOVED IT! NICKELBACK WERE, AS USUAL, THE BEST! LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THE CONCERT AND GAVE US A SHOCK WHEN THEY DECIDED TO COME ON STAGE AT ABOUT 8.30 PM, BUT HEY IT WAS NICKELBACK, WHO CARES WHAT TIME THEY CAME ON! STILL GOING ON FRIDAY! TWICE IN THE SAME MONTH, NOT SURE WHAT STATE I’LL BE IN THIS TIME NEXT WEEK!
